His sister, Wanjiru Chege, broke down in tears as she spoke about his untimely and tragic death.

“My brother was just going home in the evening after work. He was simply heading home. How do you take people’s lives like that? I know Sam; he drinks alcohol a lot, and I believe he was drunk while driving. Even as you posted that you are a champion, how can you call yourself a champion when you have killed several people, including my brother?” she said through tears.

Wanjiru further revealed that their mother was devastated by the loss of her son, adding that Charles had not yet started a family or had children.

She noted that her brother had a bright future ahead of him, as he was the only university graduate in their family. His death has left a deep void and shattered many hopes for the future.
