FIFA World Cup: StarTimes Nigeria Begins Watch & Win Promo with N10m Star Prize at Stake

Nigerians can look forward to good times during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, as the leading provider of digital terrestrial and satellite television services, StarTimes Nigeria, is giving away prizes worth N10 million to its customers. 

The promo, which began on 18 June and ends on 31 July 2026, is designed by the pay television company to reward its customers for their loyalty and commitment as they stay glued to their television to watch all 104 matches in this year’s World Cup.

Speaking at a media conference held at the Radisson Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, southwest Nigeria on Tuesday, Oke Umurhohwo, Marketing Director, StarTimes Nigeria, said that Nigerians, irrespective of the bouquets they subscribed, will have the opportunity of watching all the 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup live in the comfort of their homes, adding that StarTimes has dedicated two channels for the World Cup coverage.

“With just N4,000 subscription, our consumers will have the chance of viewing all the 104 World Cup matches live.

“Aside from this, StarTimes Nigeria has begun a promo for the World Cup tagged “Watch and Win”. The promo, which started on 18 June 2026, will end on 31 June 2026.

“To participate in this promo, a subscriber only needs to subscribe to any of the bouquets with a minimum recharge of N4,000, buy the decoder or StarTimes Solar.

“Every participant in the promo stands a good chance of winning the star prize of N10 million and other consolation prizes. Winners will be picked randomly and through automation,” Umurhohwo said.

During the World Cup period, new subscribers will also save about 44 per cent as a discount when buying any of the StarTimes products.

“I want to assure our teeming subscribers of good times during this World Cup as we are going to organise ‘Watch Parties’ across some of the cities in the country to add fun to the World Cup viewing coverage, ” the Marketing Director said.
