Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa has broken down over constant betrayal from her close circles.
Taking to her Instagram page, she expressed how tired she is, noting how it took her years to heal from betrayal and childhood trauma.
Funmi stressed that she is tired of meeting the wrong people, saying she isn’t lucky when it comes to seeing herself in people. The Yoruba actress said that, looking back on what she experienced while growing up, it is the same issues. She said constant betrayal is the reason why she is single and is broken from loneliness and sadness.

This comes days after social media influencer Mandy Kiss called Funmi out for allegedly ruining her life. Mandy Kiss said that Awelewa and Toyin Abraham wronged her. She tagged the actress as her greatest mistake, claiming that her godmother “ruined my life”.
Responding to her, Awelewa dismissed Mandy’s allegations, explaining that she had only tried to guide her toward better behaviour and success. She stated that she ended communication after her repeated advice was ignored and after she discovered Mandy’s smoking habit.
Awelewa emphasised that she never negatively influenced Mandy or caused her any harm. She warned Mandy to stop dragging her name into personal matters, urging her to take responsibility for her actions, and challenged her to specify any wrongdoing.
Still on betrayals, Destiny Etiko sent a message to an unknown colleague, noting that the colleague had asked for forgiveness; however, she hadn’t forgotten what she had done to her, which she considers an abomination. Destiny noted that the colleague fabricated so many lies against her because the people she was with were applauding her for being a good child.
