Kidnappers: My neighbor said he is a carpenter; they laughed and said he is a police officer—Victim

During an interview with Lucky Udu Experience on Sunday, June 21, 2026, a kidnapped victim narrated her experience in the captivity of kidnappers.

Recently, several Nigerians have taken to the streets demanding the release of forty-six residents, comprising pupils and teachers, abducted by insurgents in the Oriire local government area of Oyo State.

However, in the video, the kidnapped victim recounted how the unidentified gunmen invaded her community with masks on.

She recalled how the kidnappers led her and several others far into the deep hearts of the forests, and they stopped at a hut to get food supplies.

Furthermore, she narrated that her neighbor was brutally tortured by the kidnappers, and when they asked him for his occupation, he answered and said “carpenter,” and they laughed and revealed that he is a policeman.

In her words, “My other neighbor was not allowed to make a call; they were just beating him with the stick they use for their cows. They were hitting it on his head; they asked him for his name, and he answered. They asked for the work he was doing, and he said, “Carpenter.” They now laughed and said, “You think we don’t know that you are a police officer?”
