Kind Well-Wisher sends gift to Tenri School’s Allan Njue after his defeat in elections

A wave of emotion continues to trail the viral Tenri Schools student elections after a well-wisher revealed that he sent a gift to Allan Njue, the candidate who came second in the closely watched contest.

The well-wisher, a lawyer by profession, said he was moved after seeing Allan, popularly linked to the “Aloo Aloo” campaign movement, tearful following the conclusion of the election.

“When I saw Allan, the student who came second in the much-publicised Tenri School elections, in tears, my heart broke,” he said. “Losing an election is hard. As a small gesture of support, I sent him something,” Jamuh Mureithi, the well-wisher said.

He added that although he does not know Allan personally, he hopes the school will allow him to receive the gift, emphasising that setbacks are part of leadership growth.

“I know he will grow stronger and we will be cheering him on as he puts the current school government to check,” he said.

The gift has since sparked conversations online, with many Kenyans praising the gesture as a rare moment of encouragement in an election season that has captivated the nation.
