A Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom has sparked reactions online after publicly declaring her support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his potential re-election in 2027.
Speaking in a video circulating on social media, she said she supports the President because many people believe he is making efforts to address Nigeria’s challenges and deserves the opportunity to complete two terms in office.
According to her, insecurity, particularly banditry, did not begin under the Tinubu administration and has been a longstanding problem that predates his presidency.
“I’m supporting Tinubu because people say he is trying. And because he is already there, let him complete his eight years. Banditry was already there before Tinubu came into office,” she said.
The comments have generated mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians agreeing that the President should be given more time to implement his policies, while others argue that citizens should judge the administration based on current economic and security realities.
