The man, James (not his real name), went online describing the encounter and what the woman was wearing, hoping she would come across his heartfelt appeal.
He explained that the matatu was headed to Kitengela and had stopped at Nyayo, where the woman boarded.
“Yesterday evening, between 7 pm and 8 pm, while heading home to Kitengela, I boarded a Rembo Classic matatu. At the Nyayo stage, a lady got in and immediately caught my attention,” he said.

Nairobi man describes woman he spotted in matatu
James described the woman as strikingly beautiful, with a graceful stature, fair complexion and a charming presence.
He said she was wearing a black-and-white blouse tucked into white shorts with a brown belt, complemented by round earrings and a necklace.
The smitten young man added that the woman’s blouse had an open neckline and that she was carrying what appeared to be an iPhone with a pink phone case.
“Her nails were neatly done, long and finished with glittering polish. The matatu was full, so she stood from Nyayo until Mlolongo, where she alighted. I found myself admiring her throughout the journey,” he said.
James admitted he wished he had found the courage to compliment her in person and appealed to her to get in touch if she happened to see his message online.

Many social media users said James should have introduced himself during the journey instead of waiting until after the woman had left the matatu.
