The two images of Njoki, taken barely eight months apart, have been widely shared online, symbolising what many are calling a story of “restoration, dignity and second chances”.
Nairobi County official Geoffrey Mosiria, who helped Njoki out of the streets, told NGBREAKINGNEWS that her case was proof that there’s God in Heaven.

From a life marked by addiction, homelessness and visible distress, she now appears healthy, composed, and full of renewed hope.
Njoki’s journey began under deeply painful circumstances when Mosiria discovered her sleeping on a sack in the central business district, appearing destitute and in need of urgent help.
“When I approached her, I asked why she was on the streets and whether she had family,” Mosiria recalled. “She only asked for food at first, but later opened up about her life and the deep pain she had endured.”
Njoki reportedly shared that she had battled drug addiction and homelessness, and had at times appeared mentally unwell.
In one of the most heartbreaking parts of her story, she revealed that she had lost her two sons years earlier, a tragedy that deeply affected her mental and emotional wellbeing.
Following the interaction, Mosiria arranged for her to be taken to a rehabilitation facility where she underwent structured treatment at a Rapid Rehabilitation Centre for addiction recovery.

She remained under care for several months as she went through detoxification, counselling and emotional support.
During her recovery journey, Njoki gradually regained her strength, health and confidence, with visible physical changes including weight gain, improved appearance, and significant emotional healing.
Njoki was eventually discharged as a completely transformed person with dignity, hope, and a new life.
She was also able to reconnect with her surviving family members, who had long believed she had died.
Her reintegration into society took a major step forward after she secured employment with Nabayi Safari Adventures, a Nairobi-based travel company.
The firm announced that Njoki would serve as both a receptionist and brand ambassador at their Ngong Road office.
“We want to empower Njoki,” the company’s leadership said. “We have planned a trip for her to Mombasa and she will be the face of our brand. This is about giving her a real chance to rebuild her life with dignity.”
