The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 41-year-old businessman, Abugu Oliver Ikechukwu, over the alleged importation of cocaine concealed in clothing materials shipped from São Paulo, Brazil, to Nigeria.
According to the anti-narcotics agency, the suspect was taken into custody after operatives uncovered 6.10 kilograms of liquid cocaine hidden inside shirts and towels imported into the country.
The arrest forms part of ongoing efforts by the NDLEA to dismantle international drug trafficking networks operating across multiple countries and using increasingly sophisticated concealment methods.
