NRS Launches Rev360 To Identify Tax Defaulters, Ease Compliance

The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has unveiled its digital tax administration platform, Rev360, to identify tax evaders, while also delivering a more integrated, intelligent, and taxpayer-centric tax administration experience.

Speaking at the event in Abuja on Wednesday, the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, described Rev360 as a transformational platform.

According to him, the platform will support the Service’s transition to Tax Administration 3.0 by improving service delivery, strengthening compliance management, enhancing transparency, and simplifying taxpayer interactions.

He stated: “The launch has reinforced the Nigeria Revenue Service’s commitment to innovation, digital transformation, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement as it advances its vision of building a modern revenue administration system that is efficient, transparent, data-driven, and responsive to the needs of taxpayers and the Nigerian economy.”

While delivering his remarks, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, noted that efficient, technology-enabled tax administration systems are increasingly becoming the backbone of modern economies and are essential to creating a transparent, predictable, and business-friendly environment that supports sustainable growth and national development.

Oyedele, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary (Special Duties) of the Ministry,  Mohammed Sanusi, commended the NRS for its commitment to innovation and institutional transformation.

He noted that digital platforms such as Rev360 are critical to strengthening revenue administration, improving the ease of doing business, enhancing investor confidence, and supporting the Federal Government’s economic reform agenda.

He assured that the ministry would provide necessary support to ensure the successful implementation of the Rev360.

According to him, the Rev360 represented the first phase of a broader transformation journey aimed at simplifying taxpayer interactions with the Service and improving the overall taxpayer experience.

He explained that the platform was designed to improve taxpayer onboarding, filing, payment processing, compliance management, and support services, while providing taxpayers with greater visibility, convenience, and confidence in fulfilling their tax obligations.

The Executive Director (Technology), Iniabasi Akpkan, said the Rev360 technology was laying the foundation for the NRS to deliver its mandate at scale.

He explained that the technology platform makes it easy for taxpayers to be able to pay their taxes and is much faster and much more convenient.

“That will drive, ultimately, voluntary compliance. I think naturally it will make people do it much more easily because if people can pay more easily, they can pay faster, conveniently from the comfort of their offices and their home.”
