“Other Nations Have Natural Disasters, Nigeria Has Leadership Disaster”- Kunle Remi

Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has once again voiced concern over the state of affairs in Nigeria, expressing frustration about the country’s security and governance challenges.

Taking to his Instagram Story, the actor contrasted global experiences with those in Nigeria, suggesting that while many countries deal with natural disasters, Nigeria is instead burdened by what he described as leadership-related crises.

On his page, he also referenced the ongoing trauma surrounding the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State, noting that it has been about 40 days since the incident occurred. He further criticized the security situation, alleging that armed groups continue to move freely in some communities while security operatives appear unable to effectively stop them.

His remarks have since sparked renewed conversations online about insecurity and governance in the country.

He questioned what exactly the citizens are waiting for.

“40 Days and families are still torn apart.

Children are still suffering simply because they were born in Nigeria.

Teachers are still in captivity instead of in their classrooms.

Families remain in fear, grief, and dismay.

Meanwhile, bandits move freely through towns while the very security agencies meant to protect us appear to wave them through.

What exactly are we waiting for?”.
