Social media personality Phyna has issued a public apology to police officers she had earlier referred to as kidnappers in a video, clarifying that the situation was a misunderstanding stemming from her cameraman’s arrest.
In her follow-up statement, Phyna explained that officers had found a crusher in her cameraman’s bag during a search, and subsequently discovered what appeared to be a partially smoked wrap of cannabis in his pocket.
She said it was these findings that led to his arrest, and that the matter has since been resolved.
She urged the public to disregard her earlier video, acknowledging that her initial characterisation of the officers as kidnappers was inaccurate.
