Primate Ayodele Donates House, Seven Vehicles at Thanksgiving

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Sunday presented a fully furnished house, seven vehicles and other empowerment items to members of his church during the ministry’s 2026 mid-year thanksgiving programme.

The event, held on June 28, attracted hundreds of worshippers and featured a series of empowerment initiatives aimed at supporting church members, ministers, students, widows and other vulnerable groups.

Among the beneficiaries was a church member who attended the thanksgiving service with his wife in a modest salon car but unexpectedly received the keys to a brand-new Toyota Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).

According to witnesses, Primate Ayodele first asked the couple to make a token donation to the church. After they complied, he returned the money, added more to it, and then presented them with the new vehicle, drawing applause from members of the congregation.

Another beneficiary, who is said not to be a full member of the church but has maintained a close relationship with the ministry over the years, also received a surprise gift.

During the programme, Primate Ayodele requested the keys to the man’s old vehicle and immediately directed that it be donated to another member of the congregation as an empowerment gift. Moments later, the cleric presented him with the keys to a newer Toyota vehicle.

Two pastors attached to the ministry also received vehicles during the event. One was presented with a Mercedes-Benz, while the other received a Lexus SUV.

As part of the thanksgiving activities, the church also organised an empowerment raffle for members. Participants who contributed N1 million qualified for a draw through which four winners each received a vehicle valued at about N7 million.

One of the major highlights of the programme was the presentation of the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) of a fully furnished house in Lagos to Pastor Olubunmi Ajewole, the church’s second-in-command. The announcement drew prolonged cheers from members of the congregation.

Beyond the distribution of vehicles and the house, the church extended its subsidy market initiative designed to cushion the effects of the current economic situation.

Essential food items were sold at discounted prices, with a bag of rice selling for N30,000, cartons of instant noodles for N4,000 and loaves of bread for N1,500. Other household items were also made available at subsidised rates for church members and residents.

Students from various schools across Lagos State also benefited from educational support during the programme, while widows, elderly persons, traders, church workers and other beneficiaries received financial assistance and empowerment packages.

The annual mid-year thanksgiving programme forms part of the church’s humanitarian outreach, which focuses on supporting members and vulnerable individuals through various welfare initiatives.
