The identities of the men and women who sadly died in the Salama accident have been revealed to the heartbreak of many people who knew them.
On Sunday night, members of the Hella Group, a company within the EPZ, had gone for Jane’s parental visit at Mbuinzau, Kibwezi in Makueni county, and the host of the event was Jane. As they were returning, their matatu, belonging to Rembo Scaco, sadly collided with a trailer at Salama.
“They are all former workers of Hela Intimate EPZ Athi River, but after the company was closed a few months ago and they departed to different companies within the zone,” Kenyatta Mwilu told NGBREAKINGNEWS.

“Hela family at large, I take this opportunity to condole with my former fellow employees for the loss of my former workmates in a tragic accident along Mombasa Sultan Amud yesterday evening, which claimed many lives instantly, sorry to the families. May their souls rest in peace,” he added.
Stanley Mutisya, one of the survivors, said he had lost very close friends who were with him on that day during an interview with Caleb Musyoki. He narrated how one of his very close friends called him for assistance, calling him three times before passing away.
“I heard the chairman calling me three times, and the last one was so faint and shortly after, he died,”he said.
Who were the officials of the group?
So far, eight people have been confirmed dead, and some of their identities are only coming out, and one of them was Jane, who was the host.
“I cannot believe, Jane, why did you have to go away so fast? RIP my sister Jane,” said her friend.
Lillian, who was also seen planning logistics for the group, right before they danced and boarded the matatu, died in the ill-fated matatu. She was the secretary of the group, and the chairman, identified as Willy, also died.

Others who lost their lives include Rose, aka Mama Lena,
“Juzi I met with you, Rose and you told me you will stay EPZ until your retirement.You have retired from this world.Rest in peace,”mourned her friend.
Rosemary, a fair and slim woman, was also among those who died in the accident, and her friend mourned her in a Facebook story. Others are Bonnie Ras, Mutuku.There is also the driver, who sadly died in the accident as well, and he was identified as Chirchir.
