Kennedy Kamau Kabaiko’s wife and two-year-old son have been buried in a sombre ceremony in Subukia weeks after her husband allegedly killed them before also ending his life.

Hon. John Ruth-Kamiri, who shared the news on Facebook, described the mood as one of deep sorrow, posting photos of two coffins and two freshly dug graves alongside a family selfie showing Kamau, his wife, and their young son.
“Deep sorrow in Subukia as the wife and son of Kennedy Kamau were laid to rest,” he wrote. “The two met their untimely deaths at the hands of Kamau in Riamute, Githunguri, before he subsequently ended his own life. Kennedy was however, laid to rest in Githunguri last week. May they rest in peace.”

Weighed down by guilt and alleged rejection, Kamau had reportedly planned to work abroad to escape the pain.
Instead, he made a far more destructive choice. Before the act, he wrote a three-page letter and posted photos on WhatsApp, leaving behind a trail that stunned those who saw it.
