Tinubu should be credited for development at state level – PDP governorship candidate

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr. Anozike Kelechi, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be credited for most developments across the states.

The PDP governorship candidate, at an interactive session with veteran journalists in Abuja, said states got more money because of the president’s economic policy.

In his words, “Most development in the states , it is as a result of petroleum subsidy removal . So, the credit at the state level should be going to Bola Tinubu.

“Tinubu should be given credit for that economic policy that made more money available for states. “

Speaking about governance in Abia State, Dr. Anozike said the present administration lacks a welfare package, adding that governance is not about bricks and mortar alone but also about the people’s welfare. According to him, “I have developed welfarist governance.

The cost of living is too high and money released to the state is meant to cushion the effects of subsidy removal. ” Some states have introduced grant, but there is zero welfare package in Abia state. We will not be measured by bricks and mortar alone.”

He stated that he would run a government where every Abian in need is prioritized, adding that never again would any Abian go to bed with an empty stomach.

Dr. Anozike further explained that he has developed seven pillars of welfarist government targeted at catering to the needs of the people of Abia.
