Trump and Netanyahu held a telephone call. Following the conversation, Hebrew media reported that Netanyahu informed Trump that Israel will conduct bombing operations against Iran. Trump assured Netanyahu that the U.S. will not participate in Israeli strikes.
Israel simultaneously announced it is reintroducing a total blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Direct Israeli air strikes on Iran are geographically impossible without U.S. involvement. Israeli fighter jets lack the range to reach Iranian targets and return home. They require:
• In-flight refueling from U.S. tankers
• Air corridor clearance through U.S.-controlled airspace and allied territory
• Electronic warfare support from U.S. systems
• Potential use of U.S. bases for staging and logistics
“The U.S. will not participate” is a lie. The U.S. is already participating. Trump is claiming plausible deniability while enabling Israeli strikes.
