Student’s emotional tribute leaves mourners in tears

An emotional moment unfolded when one of the students, identified as Cynthia Wanja, was invited to the dais to pay tribute to her deceased schoolmates.

The young girl performed her own rendition of the famous Wimbo wa Historia, her voice filled with sorrow and emotion.

Through the song, she recounted the events of that fateful day, describing what transpired and how many students desperately tried to save their lives.

She also reflected on the grief that has engulfed the nation and the immense pain being endured by the parents and guardians of those who perished in the fire.

Many mourners were visibly moved by the heartfelt tribute, with some seen wiping away tears as she sang.

Several students who attended the requiem mass were also allowed to honour their departed schoolmates.

“We went through a very tragic incident. We are hurting, but we remain strong. We thank God, and we know that we will achieve all that He has planned for us,” said one of the students before inviting her peers to perform a song.
