Nigerian musician Abiola Akinbiyi, better known by his stage name Bella Shmurda, claims he lost $4 million after inadvertently buying a property in Lagos that he subsequently found out belonged to someone else.

The musician made the assertion on Tuesday during an emotional Instagram Live session in which he sobbed about the purported incident and begged for help.

He claims that he only lately became aware that he had fallen for the purported fraud and that he was concerned about losing the money he had spent on the property.

“Nigeria, please assist me. I’m not doing well at the moment. I discovered that I had purchased stolen goods after spending $4 million of my own hard-earned money,” he stated.

Bella Shmurda further said that after getting the money, the individual who had sold him the home was no longer reachable.

The seller has since vanished. Help me, please. Someone intervenes. “I have nothing left,” he declared.

“I put in years of labor for this. That is not how I can lose $4 million.

He also disclosed that he had given his attorney instructions to investigate the situation.

He said, “I just got in touch with my lawyer to look into this further.”

During the webcast, the musician did not identify the purported seller or offer any further details about the home.
