Brentford are closing in on the signing of Burnley winger Jaidon Anthony, with the Premier League club expected to complete a deal worth up to £17 million.
The 26-year-old is set to join the Bees on an initial £15 million transfer, with performance-related add-ons taking the total package to £17 million.
Anthony is expected to undergo a medical on Monday before signing a four-year contract, with the agreement including the option of a further 12 months.
Brentford strengthen attacking options
Brentford view Anthony as a key addition ahead of the new Premier League season, with manager Keith Andrews reportedly identifying the winger as a player suited to his attacking style.

The move also appeals to Anthony, who was born in London and began his football career in Arsenal’s academy before leaving the club in 2016 without making a senior appearance.
The winger later established himself at Bournemouth following loan spells with Weymouth and Leeds United.
Brentford have already strengthened their squad this summer with the signing of defender Jannik Schuster from RB Salzburg and are continuing to add experience before the new campaign.
Anthony leaves Burnley after relegation
Anthony joined Burnley on loan from Bournemouth in 2024 before completing a permanent move the following summer after an £8 million obligation-to-buy clause was activated following the club’s promotion.
Despite his individual contribution of nine goals and four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions last season, Burnley were unable to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The Clarets will begin life back in the Championship with a home fixture against West Ham on 16 August.
Brentford, meanwhile, narrowly missed out on European qualification after finishing ninth in the Premier League on goal difference.
Anthony’s arrival is expected to provide additional competition in the wide attacking positions as the Bees prepare for the new season, which begins with an opening-day meeting against Tottenham.
The transfer is expected to be completed once the player successfully undergoes his medical examinations and final paperwork is concluded.
