Nigerian singer and songwriter Cheque has shared his thoughts on the way people criticise others, stating that repeatedly calling someone’s actions foolish can also reflect negatively on the person making the criticism.
The music star explained that using terms like “Olodo Uprising” to describe someone is insulting, adding that constantly pointing out another person’s mistakes or perceived stupidity does not necessarily make the critic wiser.
Cheque made the statement while addressing the importance of how people express their opinions and judge others. According to him, if someone believes another person is doing something wrong or “stupid” and continues to repeat it, they may also be displaying a similar behaviour.
“Calling someone ‘Olodo Uprising’ is an insult; if you think someone is doing something stupid and keep saying it’s stupid, it means you’re being stupid too,” Cheque said.
