Former Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has completed a free transfer to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami after bringing his four-year spell at Old Trafford to an end.
The Brazil international has signed a contract until the end of the 2027 MLS season, with the club holding an option to extend the deal by a further two years until 2029.

The 34-year-old said Inter Miami’s ambition and determination to sign him convinced him to begin a new chapter in the United States.
“What motivates me the most, and I think this is true for every player, is winning and continuing to grow.”
He added: “The project the club presented to me, along with the effort everyone made to bring me here, means a lot to me.”
“I’m incredibly grateful, and I can’t wait to get started so I can repay that trust, not only during the 90 minutes on matchday, but every day in training as well.”
Casemiro joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in August 2022 and helped the club win the League Cup in 2023 before lifting the FA Cup a year later. He also featured in United’s run to the 2025 UEFA Europa League final.
United move on from Brazilian
Manchester United opted not to activate the one-year extension in Casemiro’s contract, allowing him to leave as a free agent. According to Sky Sports News, the decision had been made well before the end of last season.
The Premier League club have already strengthened their midfield with the arrivals of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans and are reportedly still in the market for another central midfielder.
Casemiro’s fortunes at Old Trafford improved during the final 18 months of his stay after initially falling out of favour under former head coach Ruben Amorim.
He finished his final campaign in impressive form, scoring nine goals across all competitions, including five in 15 appearances after Michael Carrick took charge.
