Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about navigating co-parenting with multiple women, revealing that some of his children have expressed curiosity about the arrangement.
Speaking in an interview online Davido disclosed that his two eldest daughters, Imade and Hailey, have previously asked why they have different mothers and why they don’t live with him.
He explained that the situation also extends into his public life, recalling an instance where his eldest daughter Imade confronted him after seeing him on television dancing with other women.
He said his children are growing older and have begun asking questions typical of kids in their situation,
Including why they have different mothers and why they don’t all live together, recounting how Imade once told him she had seen him on TV holding and dancing with two women.
Davido said he makes a deliberate effort to remain actively involved in the lives of all his children.
The singer has six children with different women. He and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, share twins and previously lost a son, Ifeanyi.
His other children include Imade, born in 2015 to Sophia Momodu; Hailey Veronica Adeleke, born in 2017 to Amanda; and Dawson Adeleke, born in 2020 to model Larissa Yasmin Lorenco.
Davido said his two oldest daughters used to ask why they have different mothers.
