In a dramatic turn of events, social media personality, Abiodun Ademola, popularly known as DJ Chicken, has stirred online reactions after describing Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, as ‘daddy’ shortly after regaining his freedom.
The content creator was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
Following his release, the controversial TikTok personality updated his Instagram profile picture to a photo of Seyi Tinubu and shared an Instagram story of him captioned “Hmm ddddy”.
DJ Chicken was arrested by security operatives after posting a viral video online.
In the video, he claimed that President Bola Tinubu would not win the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
He went further to state that he would kill Seyi Tinubu if the President secured a second term.
Following widespread criticism over the video, the content creator withdrew the remarks, explaining that they were intended as a joke to gain attention and increase his online popularity.
Despite the apology, he was arrested and brought before the court.
He was arraigned on a three-count charge bordering on alleged violations of the Cybercrimes Act, breach of peace and making alleged threats to kill Seyi Tinubu.
DJ Chicken spent roughly 11 to 12 days remanded in custody at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
His freedom was secured on July 21, 2026, after his legal team successfully perfected his bail conditions.
Announcing his freedom in a video on social media, the content creator who was seen with his lawyer said “I’m back oo, freedom at last.”
DJ Chicken immediately retracted his initial hostile comments and issued deep appreciation to both Seyi Tinubu and President Bola Tinubu, declaring his love for them.
“God bless the Nigerian government, God bless Seyi Tinubu, and our president. I love you guys. It is not easy, my fans. People that are free don’t know what God has done for them. Freedom is good”, he said.
The TikToker admitted he could not sleep throughout his time in prison because his inmates were intimidated by his presence.
He warned his followers to stay out of trouble, noting that “Kirikiri is not a place for anybody”.
