he Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released two prominent members of the Obidient Movement, Peter Akah, popularly known as Randy Peter, and Oruche Precious, widely known as Mama Pee, after several hours of interrogation over allegations of naira abuse.
The duo reportedly honoured the EFCC’s invitation at its Abuja office, where they were questioned before being released. Their invitation had earlier sparked reactions online, with supporters alleging that the activists were being targeted because of their political views.
The EFCC has yet to issue an official statement detailing the outcome of the interrogation or whether any further action will be taken regarding the allegations.
