The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will start their WAFU B U20 title defence with an opener against the Black Satellites of Ghana in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire on July 27, 2026.
It will be a rematch of the 2024 WAFU B U20 final in Lome, Togo, where Nigeria emerged victorious, beating the Ghana team 2-1.
On Match Day 2, the Abdul Maikaba-led team will trade tackles with Junior Sparrow Hawks of Togo on July 30, 2026 at the same Lycèe Scientifique de Yamoussoukro stadium.
The team will play their last Group B match against the Young Stallions of Burkina Faso on August 2 at the same venue.
All Nigeria’s Group B matches will be played at 3pm Nigerian time.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the coach Maikaba-led side will depart Nigeria for Cote d’Ivoire on Monday, after weeks of intensive training and screening in Abuja.
