I Am the New Face of Nigerian Music, the New-Born Fela – Portable

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has declared that any Nigerian artiste hoping to win or even secure a Grammy nomination must first feature him on a song.

Speaking during an interview on Rubbin’ Minds on Channels Television on Sunday, July 19, Portable described himself as the “new-born Fela” and insisted his influence is unmatched.

“If any artiste wants to collect Grammy in this Nigeria, if you don’t feature me, you won’t collect Grammy. If you want to collect a Grammy nomination, come and feature me. I am the new face. I am the new-born Fela,” he said

The singer also boasted about his impact on celebrity boxing, claiming he has earned more than N100 million from the sport and helped raise its profile in Nigeria.
