Nigerian chef and reality TV star Uriel Oputa has left social media buzzing after revealing why she blocked a man who sent her a romantic direct message.
Sharing screenshots on her Instagram Story, the 38-year-old said she decided to give the admirer a chance after people often told her she was “too picky.” However, the conversation took a different turn when the man admitted he had no money and could not provide the things she wanted.
According to Uriel, the admirer wrote:
“Hi Uriel. I’ve admired you for years. You’re beautiful. I can love you in more ways than you’ve ever been loved.”
She said she responded positively and encouraged him to continue, but was shocked by his next message.
“I don’t have any money, and I can’t give you the things you want.”
Reacting, Uriel joked that she blocked him so quickly she almost injured herself.
“In this economy??? I blocked him in Jesus name.”
In another post, she added:
“I BLOCKED HIM SO HARD I HURT MY THUMB.”
