American rapper Cardi B has stirred widespread discussion online after opening up about how she would respond if her son fathered a child while still living in her home.
Speaking in a video making the rounds on social media, the award-winning rapper said having a child is a major life decision that comes with adult responsibilities. According to her, anyone mature enough to become a parent should also be prepared to live independently.
Cardi B explained that she would not allow her son to continue depending on his parents after making what she described as a “grown man decision.”
She emphasized that her stance would not come from a place of anger or punishment but would instead be aimed at teaching accountability, responsibility, and self-reliance.
Her words:
“If my sons ever tell me that they have a girl pregnant, the day that you tell me that you got a girl pregnant, it will be the day that you will have to get the f**k out of my house.
“And it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because once you make grown man decisions, you have to be a man.
“It’s no mommy’s money, it’s no daddy’s money, it’s no mommy’s roof.
“You have to get out of my house, and you have to get a job, and you gotta learn how to be a man…”
