Nigerian media personality Tolulope Oniru, better known as Toolz, has shared a word of advice for brides-to-be.
In an interview with Morayo Afolabi Brown, she reflected on her 10 years of marriage to her pilot husband, admitting it hasn’t been easy. She said that couples who have been married for decades and are happy have worked through various challenges.

She credited her marriage to God, saying she and her husband pray a lot. Toolz also gushed over her in-laws, declaring them the best. She revealed that her father-in-law was the one who asked her to marry his son and helped her with her wedding ring.
Sharing a word of advice for intending couples, she said if one’s mother-in-law or father-in-law doesn’t like them, they shouldn’t try it.

“Marriage isn’t easy. If you see anyone who has been married for 10, 15, or 20 years, that’s a big thing because they have worked through different things. There are times when you question yourself on why you are still married.
I dedicate my marriage to God because we pray a lot.
I have the best in-laws.
If you aren’t married and you meet your potential in-laws and they don’t like you, don’t try it.
There are people who get into that situation and are like… It’s a big deal.
My father-in-law and my mother-in-law are like my favourite people.
My father-in-law asked me to marry his son and was the one who bought the ring”.

Toolz, while responding to questions about whether her body shape is natural, jokingly said she was one of the first people to get a BBL. She said she got her huge backside from her mother.
“I’m gonna confess, I’ve never said this before: I was one of the first BBL people.
I’m lying. What do you want me to say? I’ve got my mom’s shape. My mom like hippie, big shout-out to my mom. I moved back to Nigeria in 2009, and before that I was so self-conscious. “
Kemi Filani reported in May that Toolz and her husband had celebrated their 10th anniversary, with a cute family video. Speaking on the last ten years with him, she admitted that it hadn’t always been perfect, but it has been theirs, and for that, she is grateful.
In another post, she threw shots at marriage shamers, noting how she went from being trolled for not being married at 40 to now celebrating 10 years of marriage. Describing it as a miracle, she appreciated everyone who came through for the shoot, noting that they had almost cancelled at the last minute because of their schedules.
For their anniversary, she revealed that her husband was taking her on a surprise trip. She urged her fans to check on her in case he tries to sell her for spare parts.
Days after her anniversary, she had tried on her wedding dress again. The highlight of the video was when her husband and kids saw her in the dress, which sent many pulses racing.
Toolz got married to her husband, Tunde Demuren, in June 2016. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in December 2018. In 2020, the couple welcomed their second child, another baby boy.
In other news, Toolz had expressed some difficulties that she had been facing with parenthood. She questioned whether raising a child was easier in the past than in the modern day, when there’s so much information through technology. She stated that she felt overwhelmed by the conflicting information.
