The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced that Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, for eligible voters who participated in the recently concluded Continuous Voter Registration exercise in Osun State are now ready for collection.
In a statement by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Oluwatoyin Babalola, the Commission said the exercise is for persons who registered as new voters, applied for transfer of registration, requested replacement of lost or damaged PVCs, or updated their voter records during the registration exercise.
According to her, the distribution will begin at the 332 Registration Areas across the state from Wednesday, July 22nd to Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily, including weekends.
The Commission said collection will thereafter continue at its Local Government Area offices from Wednesday, July 29th to Friday, August 7th, 2026, within the same time frame.
The electoral body also stated that uncollected Permanent Voter Cards from previous registration exercises will be available for collection during the distribution period.
Oluwatoyin Babalola urged all eligible voters to take advantage of the exercise, stressing that the PVC remains the only valid means of accreditation for voting on election day.
The Commission reminded members of the public that the collection of Permanent Voter Cards is strictly personal and that collection by proxy will not be permitted under any circumstance.
She also reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to conducting a free, fair, credible, inclusive and transparent governorship election.
