Jesse Watters roasted after saying women are killing their love lives by getting college degrees

Fox News host Jesse Watters has been roasted after offering unsolicited dating advice to highly educated women — claiming that a college degree was one way to “kill” their love life.

Watters, 48, made the remarks on Fox News The Five as the panel discussed the apparent rise in socialism within the Democratic Party, noting that women whom they described as being “highly educated, downwardly mobile” were supporting Democratic Socialist candidates.

“If you’re going to take out a loan to get a degree in the humanities or the social sciences, what are you thinking?” Watters ranted Wednesday.

“You’re going to be 28 years old, and you’re going to have no skills and no experience, and you’re not going to take an entry-level offer because you think you have this big, fancy degree, that you’re worth more,” he continued.

Watters, who received a bachelor of arts degree at Connecticut’s Trinity College, claimed these women aspire to live in Manhattan but instead end up back at their parents’ houses, which he then claimed “is going to kill your love life.”

“You’re going to look around and see all your other younger friends doing better because they’ve been in the workforce longer,” he continued.

“So then you’re going to be resentful. And then you’re going to get bitter because you’re single. And if you’re a woman, men don’t care if you have a Ph.D. That is not high on our list of attributes.”

Watters, who sat alongside Fox hosts Martha MacCallum, Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino and Harold Ford Jr., claimed these women are “not really in the market,” meaning they will become “angry,” “ugly,” and “have a bad attitude.”

“No one wants to hire anybody with a bad attitude. Nobody wants to date anybody with a bad attitude,” he added.

The Fox anchor then suggested women can avoid this by either working hard or relocating.

“Or maybe, just maybe, you could get it together and find love,” he concluded. “And then you could build a life together because it’s a lot easier to do that with someone else with another income.”

While Watters’ fellow Fox News panelists appeared unbothered by his rant, social media users slammed his comments as misogynistic. “It’s amazing his female co-workers put up with this f****** pig,” one X user wrote.

One user chimed in: “Maybe the reason women act bitter and angry is because they have to deal with douchebags like Jesse Watters.”

“Jesse Watters is just so unpleasant,” another X user added.

“So according to Jesse Watters (the stupidest man on Fox News), college educated women are downwardly mobile, bitter, angry and ugly,” read one comment. “Misogynist doesnt even begin to describe his hatred.”

Other social media users responded to his unprompted rant with humor with one user writing, “get a PhD to protect yourself girlies” along with the memed image of the “Marked Safe From” flag that is used on Facebook in emergency situations.

“Oh my god these people are so stupid. Smart, educated, middle aged women with bad attitudes get married every day,” another user quipped.
