JUST-IN: Netanyahu’s Son Humiliates Leader As He Legally Distances Himself With Name Change

The son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has legally changed his name in secret, explosive tax documents have revealed.

Yair Netanyahu – long known as a fierce and highly controversial defender of his father’s right-wing government – has officially ditched his famous surname.

According to bombshell official Israeli Tax Authority records uncovered by Haaretz, the 34-year-old will now be legally known as Yonatan Hun, reports The Times of Israel.

The sudden rebrand has sparked intense speculation across Israel, as the Prime Minister’s eldest son drops one of the most powerful and recognizable names in global politics.

The paperwork indicates that the name change took place quietly within the last 18 months. While his national identification number remains exactly the same, his tax status has officially shifted to his new alias.

Yonatan is a staunch supporter of his father, Benjamin Netanyahu, who is the Prime Minister of Israel
Tax certificates from late 2024 still bore the Netanyahu name, but recent official filings now completely erase it, replacing it with his new identity.

Yair, who has been living a lavish lifestyle in a luxury apartment complex in Miami, Florida, since early 2023, has yet to publicly comment on the change.

While the move has shocked political commentators, the names chosen by the Prime Minister’s son hold deep roots within his family tree.

His new first name is a direct tribute to his late uncle, Yonatan “Yoni” Netanyahu, an Israeli military hero who tragically died leading the legendary 1976 Operation Entebbe rescue mission.

Hun is the original, non-Hebraicized surname of his maternal grandfather, Shmuel Ben Artzi.
