Tension has heightened at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Port Harcourt Branch, as lawyers prepare to elect new executives this morning.
Some legal practitioners have accused the Electoral Committee (ELECO) of allegedly plotting to manipulate the election in favour of preferred candidates.
The aggrieved lawyers expressed concerns over the credibility of the electoral process and warned that they would resist any attempt to compromise the integrity of the exercise.
