“My Parents Borrowed N7m To Save Her”- Favour Agbro’s Twin Sister Cries Out Amid Odogwu Asaba Case

A viral reaction video has renewed conversations surrounding the death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro after her twin sister disclosed that their family reportedly borrowed N7 million in an attempt to save her life.

The controversy gained renewed attention following the arrest of content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaba, on Tuesday, July 14, in connection with Favour’s death. Since then, several videos and discussions about the case have circulated widely online.

In a post shared on Thursday, July 16, 2026, content creator Ositadinma Fred reacted to an emotional appeal made by Favour’s twin sister, who spoke about the family’s financial struggles while trying to get medical help for her.

The video featured a meme written in Nigerian Pidgin English, questioning how people facing severe financial difficulties were able to secure such a large loan. The commentary also suggested that the revelation had given the public a different perspective on some of the decisions Favour made before her death.

The message further highlighted a broader issue, urging parents to consider the financial pressure placed on their children and encouraging families to find healthier ways of handling difficult situations.

Following the revelation, social media users shared mixed reactions, with some questioning the details surrounding the loan. While some expressed sympathy for the family’s situation, others raised concerns about when the money was borrowed and whether the debt was directly connected to Favour’s treatment.

According to her twin sister, the family took the N7 million loan in a desperate attempt to save Favour’s life, but they were later left struggling as creditors reportedly began demanding repayment.

Her words….

“My name is Faith Agbro. I am Favour Agbro’s twin sister. I am pleading to the public for help, my parents. We really need money. My parents borrowed money from different sources to save my sister. We spent N7million, help us so that we can be able to sort out the debt.”
