“Na single we single, we no kill person” – Ayo Makun writes

Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has shared a cryptic post about his single status.

On his Instagram page, he shared a video of himself drooling over football ladies, noting how he is only single and didn’t kill anyone.

Ayo revealed his plans to jet to Cape Verde for a Cabo vacation.

“Na single we single, we no kill person”.

AY says na single I single

Recall that in April, 2023, AY confirmed the end of his almost 20-year relationship with Mabel, expressing regrets for losing his home, and also admitted to doing things that were compromising during the marriage. He warned against projecting the wrong narrative about him and his family, which he found harmful to his teenage daughter, and hinted at the possible fault from his wife.

Mabel also broke her silence, stating that her dreams of a lifelong marriage had now taken a different direction and pleaded with the media and public to give them privacy as they navigate their new phase. She noted how many lies have been peddled against her, but she will honour her kids by not addressing them.

Last year, he issued a public statement denying rumours of a reconciliation with Mabel. He described such rumours as false, incessant and insensitive and threatened legal action.

Last year, while celebrating his brother, Lanre’s wife on her birthday. He described her as a one-of-a-kind woman, appreciating her for standing strong with his brother and noted how women like her are rare.

Similarly, while celebrating Yomi Casual’s wife’s birthday, he threw shade at his ex-wife Mabel. AY described his brother’s wife as an incredible woman and praised her for her loyalty, and dedication to her family. He noted that she has always stayed true, avoiding distractions and influences.

Nigerians dragged Makun over his comment about his brother’s wife. While complimenting her, AY made a remark that taunted his ex-wife, as he urged everyone at the party to applaud his brother’s wife, who is still married.

Also, when his younger brother, Yomi Casual, marked his 40th birthday. AY noted how he isn’t a perfect example of keeping one’s home front intact. However, he was proud of the love and respect his brother had for his family. AY also expressed pride in Yomi’s achievements and the person he has become.
