New footage shows accused Charlie Kirk killer on campus minutes before assassination

Utah prosecutors played new footage in court which they said showed Tyler Robinson — the man accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk — moving around the Utah Valley University campus moments before the assassination.

During a preliminary hearing in Provo on Tuesday, District Judge Tony Graf ruled that the previously unreleased video could be shown in the courtroom and made public.

Prosecutors said the footage showed Robinson around the campus at several points on Sept. 10, 2025, the day Kirk was fatally shot while speaking outside to students.

One clip shows an individual walking up the stairs of a parking structure, apparently with a limp. In another, a person is seen crossing a parking lot, while a separate image appears to show the individual holding an object.

Robinson, 23, is charged with aggravated murder in Kirk’s killing, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. He has not entered a plea, and his attorneys have not publicly addressed his guilt or innocence. A preliminary hearing is taking place this week as the judge considers whether there is enough evidence to move the case forward.
