NEW POLL: Most Americans Expect Prolonged Iran War as Support for U.S. Strikes Remains Low

A new poll found that 79% of Americans expect U.S. military involvement in the war with Iran to continue for an extended period, up from 65% in late March. Only 18% believe the war will end within weeks.

Expectations of a prolonged war are highest among Democrats at 91%, followed by independents at 84% and Republicans at 69%. Just 37% of Americans approve of the U.S. strikes on Iran.
