“Not Every Man Is Yul”- Mc Fish’s New Wife Defends Men Amid Divorce Controversies

Gbemso, the new partner of actress Anita Joseph’s former husband, MC Fish, has shared a message directed at women who have gone through divorce, urging them not to use the experience as a reason to bring down their former spouses.

The message was shared via her Instagram story, where she reposted a statement cautioning women against turning divorce battles into public campaigns against their ex-husbands.

The post highlighted that not every failed marriage should be treated like high-profile divorce controversies involving celebrities, stressing that some relationships simply end because they no longer work.

It read in part: “It seems there is this new trend of ‘Man must go down’ when there is divorce. Come on. This ain’t cool at all. Not all of us will buy into this. You all can’t play Queen May’s real-life experience in a divorce saga. Sometimes divorce happens simply because the marriage isn’t working. Not every man is a Yul, and not every woman is a Queen May.”

Reacting to the message, Gbemso expressed concern over what she described as the misuse of media platforms to attack men following marital separations.

According to her, some women have turned the voices of those genuinely seeking support after painful experiences into tools for damaging the reputation of their former partners.

She stated that while such actions may come from the pain of divorce, truth would eventually emerge.

She wrote: “And innocent blogs are being used as a tool; women have weaponised the voice that is meant for people in pain to destroy men just because of the hurt of being divorced. It’s very sad, but the truth would always prevail.”
