Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Monday evening paid a courtesy visit to the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the recently concluded governorship election in Ekiti State, Ambassador Dare Bejide, at his residence in Ado-Ekiti.

The visit formed part of the governor’s commitment to reaching out to all contestants in the election, with a view to seeking their cooperation and input in the governance of the state.

Governor Oyebanji, who was accompanied on the visit by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, was received by Ambassador Bejide, and the two leaders held discussions centred on the development of the state.

It will be recalled that shortly after the official announcement of the June 20 election results, Governor Oyebanji had reached out by phone to the candidates of the PDP and ADC, Dr Wole Oluyede and Ambassador Bejide respectively, promising to follow up with personal visits.

The governor had since visited Dr Oluyede at his residence alongside some party leaders, before proceeding to visit the ADC candidate on Monday.

Governor Oyebanji’s policy of inclusion is aimed at promoting unity, peace, understanding, and mutual respect among citizens, which he considers a key enabler of sustainable development and growth.
