A Nigerian man has gone viral after hilariously recounting his first experience using an elevator at the age of 28, admitting he embarrassed himself after being startled by the movement.
Sharing his experience on social media, the man said he had never entered an elevator before and was shocked by the slight vibration when it started moving.
“Omoo from a young age ba, my kids will be well exposed. In my 28 years of life, today is the very first time I entered an elevator.
“I embarrassed myself. The moment it started moving, I wasn’t expecting that slight vibration. Na so I shout! The guy inside looked at me and asked, ‘First time?’ I just said, ‘Yes.’ Ahhh… shame wear me like Bubu gown.”
The awkward moment didn’t end there. He revealed that after arriving on the third floor, he remained standing inside the elevator, thinking someone else wanted to enter.
“I was going to the 3rd floor. When the elevator door opened, I just stood there thinking someone else wanted to enter. The guy looked at me and said, ‘This is your destination.’ Ahhh!”
His story has since sparked laughter online, with many Nigerians admitting they could relate, while others encouraged people not to feel ashamed about experiencing something new for the first time.
