The founder of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Chibuzor Gift Chinenye, has announced free accommodation and welfare support for Nigerian families returning from South Africa, urging those reportedly sleeping at airports to take advantage of the programme.
In a statement shared on social media, Chinenye said he received information that some returnees from South Africa were spending nights at the airport due to a lack of shelter.
He appealed to them to relocate to OPM’s free accommodation facility, where they can stay until they regain stability.
Free support for families
According to him, the offer is available only to returnees with families.
He explained that their children would be admitted free of charge into any of OPM’s 43 free schools, with free daily bus transportation provided.

Chinenye also said students who complete secondary school under the programme would receive OPM university scholarships to study in Nigerian universities without sitting for the ministry’s regular scholarship examination.
He added that both parents and children would have access to free medical treatment at OPM’s free hospital.
Skills training and business support
The cleric further disclosed that mothers would receive shops to restart small businesses, claiming many had lost their means of livelihood after their businesses in South Africa were vandalised.

He also stated that men would be enrolled in OPM’s free skills acquisition centres to learn various trades at no cost.
Encouraging affected families to seek help instead of remaining at the airport, Chinenye wrote: “You don’t need to sleep at the airport there is a free accommodation for you and your family till when you are able to get back to your feet. Because GOD ALMIGHTY shall restore everything you lost.”
He urged Nigerians to share the message so it could reach stranded returnees who might be unaware of the available support.
Chinenye concluded by stating that the initiative is “FULLY FUNDED THROUGH TITHES AND OFFERINGS FROM OPM CHURCH.”
