A lady has sparked conversations online after sharing her opinion about relationships, arguing that unmarried women should remain open to meeting their potential life partners, even if they are currently dating someone.
In a statement that has drawn mixed reactions, the lady said that being in a relationship does not necessarily mean a person is committed for life, stressing that marriage is the ultimate commitment.
According to her, women who are not legally married should not feel completely tied down to their boyfriends or reject opportunities to meet someone they may eventually marry.
“As long as you’re not married, you don’t belong to anyone. Meeting a man and telling him you have a boyfriend is foolish. If you’re not married, don’t let your boyfriend stop you from meeting your future husband,” she stated.
Her comment has since generated debate among social media users, with some agreeing that dating relationships should not prevent people from making choices about their future, while others criticized the statement, describing it as disrespectful to the commitment and loyalty expected in relationships.
