Troops of Sector 1, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), acting on credible intelligence, have apprehended a suspected t3rrorist logistics network and arrested six suspects during a well-coordinated covert operation aimed at disrupting t3rrorist supply lines in the North East Theatre.
A statement issued to journalists on Monday in Maiduguri by the acting military information officer, OPHK, Captain Mohammed Goni, said the intelligence-led operation, conducted at about 4:00 p.m. on July 19, 2026, involved the establishment of a stop-and-search operation along a suspected t3rrorist logistics route.
Goni said the operation culminated in the arrest of six suspected t3rrorist logistics suppliers travelling in five vehicles while conveying a large consignment of materials destined for t3rrorist elements.
He listed the items recovered during the operation to include 202 cartons of herbicides, one jerrycan containing suspected acid, one Starlink wireless internet communication system, six bags of NPK fertiliser, 10 bags of rice, 50 hoes, and 20 packs of knapsack sprayer pumps.
The OPHK spokesman added that preliminary assessment indicates the recovered consignment comprises materials with potential dual-use applications that could support t3rrorist logistics, sustainment, mobility and communications.
He said some of the recovered items, particularly the NPK fertiliser and suspected acid, would undergo further technical and forensic examination to determine their intended use, including any possible application in the fabrication of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Goni noted that the seizure represents a significant disruption of suspected t3rrorist logistics networks and further degrades their ability to sustain operational activities, adding that the six suspects and all recovered items have been handed over to the appropriate Military Intelligence Regiment for comprehensive investigation aimed at identifying the intended recipients, establishing the wider logistics network, and facilitating the apprehension of other collaborators and sponsors.
He further said preliminary debriefings of rescued hostages and surrendered t3rrorist families indicate that the sustained disruption of t3rrorist logistics and supply chains by Operation HADIN KAI has significantly degraded the operational capability of t3rrorist groups, noting that persistent shortages of food, medical supplies, communications equipment and other essential logistics have compelled many t3rrorists to abandon their hostages, families and enclaves while fleeing sustained military pressure.
The statement said Operation HADIN KAI remains resolute in dismantling t3rrorist logistics and support networks through sustained intelligence-driven operations, adding that the theatre would continue to target t3rrorists, their financiers, logistics suppliers, informants and collaborators in order to deny them the resources, freedom of movement and operational capability required to sustain their campaign of t3rrorism.
It added that the continued degradation of t3rrorist logistics remains a key operational objective and has proven instrumental in compelling t3rrorists to abandon their enclaves, surrender in increasing numbers, and relinquish captives held within their camps.
The statement concluded by encouraging members of the public to continue supporting security agencies by providing timely and credible information on suspicious persons, movements and activities within their communities, stressing that such cooperation remains vital to the success of ongoing counter-t3rrorism operations and the restoration of lasting peace and security in the North East.
