A video circulating online, appearing to show President Bola Tinubu and members of his cabinet reciting the old Nigerian national anthem during a Federal Executive Council meeting, has sparked widespread discussion on social media.
While some users attributed the footage to confusion following the reintroduction of the old anthem, others pushed back.
Identifying the clip as an older video predating the change made in May 2024, pointing to the presence of former ministers no longer serving in the current cabinet as evidence that the footage was not recent.
