Andrey Santos says it is a dream to play for Manchester United after his £50 million transfer from Chelsea was unveiled on Monday.
The Red Devils made a guaranteed £48 million payment, plus £2 million in add-ons. Chelsea does, however, maintain a 10% sell-on clause.
The 22-year-old joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in 2023 and has previously spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest and Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg.
The player said “Everything about Manchester United is special; it is an incredible feeling to join a club that some of my biggest idols have represented,” the Brazilian said. “As a midfielder, I am really excited to have the opportunity to learn from Michael Carrick; he is the perfect coach to help me take the next step in my career and push to achieve my dreams.”
