Popular Nigerian content creator Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, widely known as Shank Comics, has officially declared that he is no longer a skit maker.

The revelation came during a conversation with fellow creators Carter Efe and Sydney Talker, following Shank’s appearance at Wizkid’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

Shank Comics, who had been expected to livestream Wizkid’s concert on June 22, 2025, also met with singer Asake at the event, where both artists performed.

During a video call, Carter Efe and Sydney Talker playfully scolded Shank for not taking the opportunity to create content with Wizkid. In response, Shank calmly stated, “I no longer think like that. I’m no longer a skit maker,” subtly shading the others.

His unexpected statement left the two comedians in laughter, clearly surprised by the shift in tone.

Shank Comics has been making significant strides outside traditional skit comedy. He is currently Nigeria’s most-streamed Twitch creator and recently won a $10,000 (₦16 million) prize from Kai Cenat’s “Streamer University,” aimed at supporting and growing his streaming career.
