Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai on Tuesday returned to the Federal High Court as his trial over alleged financial improprieties resumes.
El-Rufai entered the court under tight but orderly security, with officials closely monitoring the premises.
His appearance followed a temporary release granted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), which allowed him to attend the funeral of his late mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who passed away in Cairo, Egypt.
The ICPC has not disclosed the exact conditions of his bail.
It is still unclear whether El-Rufai will retain his temporary release or return to ICPC custody pending further court rulings.
More to come…
