One of the victims was an unidentified Coca-Cola truck driver who was reportedly trapped for about an hour after a billboard fell on his vehicle during the heavy downpour.
It was gathered that the truck was coming from the Gbongan–Ibadan road around 8 p.m. when a billboard in front of Chicken Republic, Aregbe, collapsed onto it
An eyewitness, who identified himself as Sola, said it took the combined efforts of people in the area to rescue the trapped driver.
“I believe only God saved his life,” he added.
