The Super Eagles of Nigeria will field a reshuffled starting line-up for this evening’s international friendly against Jordan as preparations continue ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
NOP NIGERIA reports that coach Éric Chelle has made six changes to the side, handing a start in goal to Francis Uzoho. The goalkeeper steps in after first-choice stopper Maduka Okoye was ruled out with a thigh injury sustained in training.
Okoye has returned to Udinese for treatment after featuring in last week’s 2-1 win over Iran, forcing Nigeria into a late decision between Uzoho and Adebayo Adeleye for the Jordan clash.
In defence, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Zaidu Sanusi will occupy the full-back positions, while Emmanuel Fernandez partners Igoh Ogbu at centre-back. The midfield pairing of Frank Onyeka and Raphael Onyedika has been trusted to control the centre of the pitch.
Akor Adams keeps his place as the lead striker for the second successive match. He will be supported by Ademola Lookman, Yira Sor and Moses Simon, who captains the side for the encounter.
Nigeria’s squad has been stretched by several absences. Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi remain unavailable, while Bruno Onyemaechi has left camp following the birth of his daughter.
Kick-off is set for 6:30 p.m. at Corendon Airlines Park, today, March 31.
